Hoover masters nervousness with the same intensity with which she plays love scenes, historical lectures, and moral judgements. She plays fear as effectively as she plays compassion. She also plays these human qualities back-to-back without batting an eyelash” - Berkshire Edge

“Millie in Montana’s hands is charming, dreamy and officious…Lampert Hoover is compulsively watchable in the role.”

27 MOTHS

by Tracy Carns

 directed by Ran Xia

In the beginning was Coca-Cola. Then Robert Oppenheimer begat The Gadget, which begat Godzilla, which begat a low-flying, one-trillion megaton Hello Kitty, filled with radioactive rainbow sprinkles and glowing plutonium moths...

A doomsday device has passed over, and a new messiah has emerged--a charismatic teenager called Justine. While Justine dazzles the masses, conjuring visions of desert journeys, her brother Berg--sheltering with his friend Lola in an abandoned motel--is not persuaded. When survival requires a leap of faith, what does a messiah have to do to convince those closest to her that she’s The Real Thing? 27 Moths is an atomic dream play that explores what it takes to reawaken belief when the world is burning.

"Old Names for Wildflowers is an expansive tale, set in a mysterious, forgotten corner of American history. Called by readers 'a feminist response to The Crucible,' and 'easily one of the most dynamic, original, and compelling plays of the last three years,' Wildflowers is part historical drama and part new mythology. The play follows a family of women struggling to survive the years after the Civil War on the edge of a wood haunted by the Devil’s whistle."

ONFW is produced by The Renovationists, Parity Productions and The Tank! Making theater takes time, dedication and money so please consider donating to the production by clicking either the link below.

Supporting artists is a great way to make a tax-deductible donation and be an activist at the same time. DO IT FOR THIS FEMINIST PLAY!
